The short version

The files you convert never leave your device, and there is no account.

Files you convert

Conversions are done by FFmpeg, an open-source program compiled to WebAssembly, which runs inside your browser. When you choose a file, your browser reads it from your disk, converts it in memory and writes the result to your downloads folder.

We never receive the file, its name, its content, its metadata or the result of the conversion. We could not look at your files even if we wanted to.

What is stored on your device

You can delete both at any time by clearing the site data for convertmp4mp3.com in your browser settings.

Server logs

Like every website, the server that delivers these pages records technical data about each request: IP address, date and time, the page requested and the browser used. This data is used to keep the site running and secure.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to count visits and to see which pages and converters are used. It records the pages you open, your approximate location (country and city), the type of device and browser, and anonymous events such as "a conversion finished". It never receives your files, their names or their content.

Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them in the cookie notice. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page.
